Arielle Lashin, MS, RD, CDN
Arielle Lashin MS, RD, CDN, is registered dietitian currently practicing in New York City. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Communication Science.
After college, Arielle returned to New York to pursue her growing interest in food and nutrition. She attended New York University where she completed her Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition.
After working in a variety of clinical and community settings, her passion lies in working within specific communities and worksites. Currently, Arielle is overseeing the Nutrition Education Services program for Con Edison’s Occupational Health Employee Wellness Program. As the staff dietitian at Con Edison, Arielle provides individual, one-on-one counseling for employees, and prepares and delivers nutrition education and wellness talks for large corporate audiences throughout the company.
Outside of Con Edison, Arielle has a nutrition counseling & consulting practice, where she provides individual and group counseling for weight management as well as medical nutrition therapy for nutrition-related conditions including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. She also creates and conducts nutrition-focused seminars, wellness talks and cooking demonstrations for corporate companies and conferences.
Arielle is interested in the relationship between food and disease, and the major role that one’s diet can play in disease management as well as prevention. She believes that we feel our very best, both mentally and physically, when consuming a well-rounded, balanced diet. The key to being healthy is moderation, not restriction. In other words, diets don’t work! There is no need to give up your favorite foods as they can be worked into an overall healthy diet. It is possible to reach and maintain your health goals by making small lifestyle modifications.
